The Agricultural and Agrarian Insurance Board, on the advice of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Lands and Irrigation and the Ministry of Fisheries, Aquatic and Marine Resources, has planned to introduce an accident insurance scheme for divers engaged in the fishing industry.
A discussion was held with representatives of the All Island Divers National Center at the head office of the Agricultural Insurance Board today (2025.08.21) to obtain suggestions and opinions from divers engaged in the fishing industry.
Important information was discussed in this regard and further discussions are scheduled to be held again.
A group of representatives including the Chairman of the All Island Divers National Center participated in this.
